Happy 12th anniversary to The Dancing House and Happy 1st anniversary to the "big" studio on O'Neil Rd.
I started The Dancing House in my basement literally three weeks after giving birth to baby #3. I was going stir crazy. In desperate need of both social interaction and physical movement. When it started the basement floors were concrete with 2x4's for walls and insulation visible. The only class I taught was Boogie Fit. I honestly never intended for it to grow as big as it did. But life happened and my little dance hobby became my life line. So it grew out of need, and this beautiful community that I live in was there for me and supported me through all of it. And here we are today, celebrating 12 years of business and 1 year at our new commercial studio. And it is because of each and every one of you that this has been possible. For that I am blessed and grateful beyond words. I love you all!

Does this describe you??
A strong education in tap, ballet or hip hop. A dance major or minor would be ideal, but is not necessary. However, a resume that includes prior dance experience is a must. And prior experience with children is ideal.
Strong memorization skills to memorize curriculum, names of students and parents.
Excellent communication skills via phone and face to face

I know I personally wear a lot.
I’m a mama, a business owner, a dancer, a coach, a friend etc. And in all the hats that we juggle, sometimes we forget about who we truly are. And what really brings us real joy.

Dance has always been more than just dancing for me. It’s being the art, exercise, therapy, appreciation for my body and soul, along with reflection and joy.

This event is a client favorite! (And secretly, mine too.) This event is for my mamas. Some time for you to take a bit of time for you. To nourish your heart and soul through a restorative a.k.a. gentle yoga class and then genuine connection through great company and conversation.

Kiddos are LOVING this!!
Next Drop and Go Date Night happening February 26th, 6-9pm!
Need a night out?!? Who doesn't!! We've got the kiddos covered! Drop them off at the studio (2000 O'Neil Rd) from 6:00-9:00pm and they will enjoy an evening of dance, games, and activities. Or they can bring their own things to do! Pack a bagged dinner, a beverage and they're all set!
When: February 26th, 2021
Time: 6:00-9:00pm
Where: 2000 O'Neil Rd
Who: Kiddos ages 3-12 (must be potty trained)
NOTE: There must be at least 5 kids registered for this event to take place. You must be registered by Wednesday the week of the event.

January's Student Spotlight
Meet Laney! Laney joined our studio in October and has been enjoying ALL The Dancing House has to offer for adults with her unlimited pass to all classes and free events. A fun fact about Laney is that she is the Vice President of her sorority Phi Mu at UWRF. Laney loves dancing at the Dancing House because the staff is so caring and very dedicated to their students! Laney is always happy to be at class and we always love having her! Thank you for being a part of our family, Laney!!
Gideon just joined our Dancing House family this month and he's a rock star!! Gideon is taking our Adult tap class and he always accepts the challenge of Miss Melissa adding extra sounds to his choreography. When not dancing he loves to play the piano, pizza, and the color orange! Gideon is a JOY to have in class!! Welcome, and thank you for being a part of our family!

Frozen Party is a beautiful birthday world filled with fun, friends, and Frozen! Guests will have a wonderful experience as they twirl and sparkle to their favorite Frozen themed music.
Princess Party: The little star with big dreams! Your little ballerina and her party friends will twirl the day away.
Glow Party: Hip Hop
Let’s dance the day away in the dark to today’s current hits and dance moves. Glow sticks will be provided for a high energy hip hop dance party!

Rental fees are $75/hour or a day rate of $300.
At The Dancing House it is our TOP priority to keep our students safe. Here is how we plan to do it for in person winter classes;
Class sizes will be limited to 15
Students will be asked to have their own dance bag that carries their own shoes and water bottle.
Hand washing will be enforced upon entrance and we will have hand sanitizer available throughout the studio.
The studio will be wiped down each day, including barres, mats, chairs, hooks, and door knobs.
The studio will be professionally cleaned each weekend.
As always, if you/your child is not feeling well, please do not come to class.
