The Dancing House is hiring Dance Teachers in the areas of Tap, Ballet and Hip Hop

who are excellent with children ages 13months - 93yrs.

Who We Are 

The Dancing House (TDH) offers an enthusiastic and encouraging atmosphere for students of all ages to learn and experience dance. Specializing in beginner dancers, TDH promises to demonstrate proper techniques and skills that will enrich your practice as a dancer, allowing you to advance and flourish in any studio setting.

  • You are an educator of dance who loves children and wants to make an influence on a child’s life well past the dance studio setting.

  • You love kids, and want to make a difference in their lives

  • You are energetic and create a magical atmosphere for your students.

Your Qualifications & Skills include

 

  • A strong education in tap, ballet or hip hop. A dance major or minor would be ideal, but is not necessary. However, a resume that includes prior dance experience is a must. And prior experience with children is ideal.

  • Strong memorization skills to memorize curriculum, names of students and parents.

  • Quick response time via text or email

  • Excellent communication skills via phone and face to face

Position Responsibilities

 

Drive to and from scheduled classes that you will teach

Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled class(es), so, that you can greet students and parents.

Allow time to stay after and answer questions for students as needed.

Commit nine months : September - May

​

Teach students based on lesson plans provided

ABILITY TO ADD YOUR OWN FLAIR

​

Teach students a recital dance in:

* Tap, Ballet, or Hip Hop Based on what class you teach.

* Be Comfortable having parents observe classes.

* Measure students for costumes

* Pick out  costumes

* Communicate to Melissa by designated time frame.

* Attend & Provide assistance during recital date.
